Shipping Methods

Orders can be picked up from the shop, or we can deliver to you and will charge shipping.

We usually use Aramex couriers for items that can be packed into standard sized boxes (up to 25 kgs and less than .150m2).

For bulky items (e.g. a carpentry bench) a freight forwarding company will need to be used. We have found that customers usually prefer to organise freight haulage themselves as they are aware of who their local freight companies are and can often obtain better pricing than that quoted by a Christchurch-based company. Also, customers usually like to be involved in the scheduling of the actual delivery and organising of insurance cover. However, we are happy to organise the delivery of bulky items for you.

Shipping Charges

We calculate the shipping charges based on the collective weight of your shopping cart and display the charge when you proceed to the checkout. Charges are based on our shipping service provider's most current cost per delivery. Accordingly, they are subject to change and occasional error. If the quoted shipping cost is incorrect The Playcentre Shop will contact you with the corrected cost of delivery as soon as is practicable.

We reserve the right to check the freight costs and will advise you by email if there is any significant change, and will provide you with the opportunity to accept or decline the revised shipping charges.

Insurance is normally provided on the goods while they are in transit to you.
