EC Coloured Sand 250g PRODUCT RECALL

With glitter being identified as an ecological hazard we have replaced it with this lovely, fine coloured sand. It can be used as an embellishment just as glitter has been in the past but also to create landscapes. As the sand is very fine you can use it with the same glues as that used for glitter. Sold in 250g bags

Updated information 27 Nov 2025  Our NZ supplier of EC Coloured Sand shared their test results which show Chrysotile and Tremolite asbestos present in most samples. Please contact us if you would like a copy of this report.

We emailed customers on our database, who had purchased the sand from us in the last five years, on Thursday 13 November, . However, if you have purchased the sand from us as a cash customer from 1 Jan 2021 and would like to be added to the list we have been asked to compile for our supplier, please contact us asap on shop@canplay.org.nz with proof of purchase.
